The aim of the inland waters preservation is the maintenance of natural qualities of the supplying and leisure water. The methods of conservation of these ecosystems include the previous treatment of the water polluters such as industrial, agricultural and urban effluents. The pollution of the aquatic systems leads to changes of its physical and chemical features and as a consequence reduces the species diversity of its biotic communities. The preservation of freshwater systems in mainly supported by laws, by the work of special entities and by the environmental protection programs, but the efficiency of these methods depends on the changing of the human activities.
