SOUZA, Aguinaldo Robinson de. Internet e o ensino de ciências: situação atual. Ciência educ. [online]. 1997, vol.04, pp.54-64. ISSN 1516-7313.

Today we often find in the general media the terms: "information revolution", "electronic superhighway", and the "infobahn". The U.S. and Brazilian Governments consider a national initiative to connect all of their schools to Internet. The giant media discuss plans to offer 500 cable television home channels, with the user selecting the programming. Interactive televideo is proposed in televisions commercials, suggesting a future in which employees will work at home and connect through their phone or cable lines to their offices. At schools we can found videoconference, microcomputers, and many others technologies. Given this hype in the future, what is the current state of computer networks and information at schools? In this work we discuss that. and others questions about the use of Internet in science teaching.

Palabras clave : Internet; Microcomputers; Science Teaching.
