MIRANDA, Jose Alberto de  e  FOSSATTI, Paulo. Management of Higher Education internationalization: Challenges for the development of global students. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2018, vol.23, n.2, pp.273-289. ISSN 2318-0870.  https://doi.org/10.24220/2318-0870v23n2a3811.

Because Brazil does not have a clear public policy for the internationalization of higher education, there are no parameters for Higher Education Institutions to establish a syllabus that specifically prepares the student to have the training requirements in times of globalization. The appeal to train a global, international student demonstrates the need to prepare them to be critical students in view of their experiences of interconnectivity. At the same time, those responsible for the development of the syllabus must be able to help the students develop the ability to recognize their own global relations from the tensions and inequalities in the world. Are the Brazilian students currently prepared to deal with the reduction of global barriers? The purpose of this article is to address critically the fragility of pedagogical management implemented by Higher Education Institutions in Brazil for the development of students in a global society. The data are based on a bibliographical and documentary research, mainly from the past six years, regarding internationalization management of Brazilian Higher Education. Similarly, the data include field diaries and management experiences of the authors at their universities. The results indicate the need to use a decision-making process towards training talents for the future of Brazil; to have an international cooperation agenda for knowledge transfer; to contribute to global challenges on a national level, and to link internationalization activities to regional agendas.
