Abstract

PASTRE, José Luiz. A READING OF PAULO FREIRE CONSTRUTIVISM AND ROLE PLAY AS METHOD. ETD - Educ. Temat. Digit. [online]. 2019, vol.21, n.4, pp.1026-1042.  Epub Apr 29, 2021. ISSN 1676-2592.  https://doi.org/10.20396/etd.v21i4.8652799.

This essay aims at gathering a few points on which we would like to consider a constructivism in Paulo Freire, and thinking the dynamics of his method from the notion of role play. It is a reading that goes through the author’s work transversally, based on questions and problems, present in such work, which are important for the development of an education thought of as a practice of freedom, and seeking the construction of a democratic society. We start at the notion that we as human beings are unfinished, which Paulo Freire understands as one of the supporting cores of the education process; we try to think some aspects of the relationship between life (existence), knowledge and thought in his work; we use the notion of role play to think the dynamics of his method, as well as the interrelationship between the esthetic, politic and cognitive dimensions of the educational practices.
