Abstract

COUTINHO, Lídia Miranda  and  GIRARDELLO, Gilka. DIGITAL CULTURE IN THE CURRICULUM: CURRENT SCENARIOS. e-Curriculum [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.1, pp.57-81.  Epub May 10, 2021. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2021v19i1p57-81.

This article discusses some of the main national and international guidelines in order to approach digital culture in education in the last decade, with view to its insertion in curricula and teacher training. In the Brazilian context, we highlight the National Common Curricular Base (2017) which, following the international trend, was organized in skills and abilities, not without much criticism and controversy. The document recommends expanding the role of digital culture in the construction of curricula, which allows both content and teaching strategies for working with digital culture to be defined in regional and local contexts. The article also examines the case of Santa Catarina state, where the regional curriculum (2019) suggests the issue to be explored and detailed in schools' Political Pedagogical Projects, which we identified as an opportunity for teachers to participate in curricular writing, based on their realities and teaching experiences in the field.

Keywords : Digital Culture; Digital Competence; DICT; BNCC; Curriculum of Santa Catarina Territory.
