This study shows an analysis of the curricular proposal of the State Department of Education of the Federal District, implemented by professors in 2014, and updated in 2018. The goal is to think about the guiding principles of the proposal, identifying theoretical and methodological foundation of the Initial Years of the Elementary School. The methodology is qualitative by documental research. It also highlights the value of breaking the conservative and usual view of curriculum making, leading to develop content and skills, in a linear and cumulative way. This way, the Schooling Cycles, breaking the educational process fragmentation, and looking for a meaningful learning by reframing the school routine.
