In face of the debate about the intensification of the teaching work’s control in Brazilian public schools, which was implanted by educational reforms from 1990s, we chose as objective of this essay the analyze the Accountability policies, which we call Teaching Accountability, and its process of articulation with the State, agent of the mechanism of Capital’s social control in response to the market needs. The exposition assumes the theoretical-methodological referential from Marxist critique of István Mészáros about the Capital’s structural crisis. We mapped academic research about the subject in the Bank of Dissertations and Thesis from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Level -or Education- Personnel (Capes). We seek to contextualize the fundamental characteristics of the crisis to highlight their adjustment policies and educational reforms within in a totality, which they are inserted.
