Abstract

ALMEIDA, Éverton Vasconcelos de  and  CERNY, Roseli Zen. Integration of ICT into the Curriculum: the technology perspectives present in the official documents of the Santa Catarina policy. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e61609.  Epub Nov 13, 2023. The policy of integrating Digital Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into the curriculum of Basic Education in Santa Catarina has a documented history of intentions that express the social and educational contexts of different periods. The integration of ICT into the curriculum is not a government initiative, but rather a public policy of the State that reveals historical roots. This article aims to analyze the official documents of these policies in order to identify the consistencies, discontinuities, and particularities of concepts and conceptions related to the theme. Guided by the critical theory of technology and the curriculum, a documental analysis was carried out, which demonstrated that the technology theme has always been present in curriculum texts, initially between the lines and growing in importance over time. The predominance of the substantivist and instrumentalist perspectives was evidenced when approaching the integration of technologies to the curriculum.

Keywords : curriculum; ICT; innovation; big techs; Santa Catarina.
