Abstract

FERNANDES, Jarina Rodrigues; NOGUEIRA, Marcela Fontão  and  TRONCO, Mariah Cruz de Souza. Technologies and Curriculum in EJA in Brazil in Times of Pandemic: for what, for whom?. e-Curriculum [online]. 2023, vol.21, e61652.  Epub Nov 13, 2023. ISSN 1809-3876.  https://doi.org/10.23925/1809-3876.2023v21e61652.

The objective of the essay is to discuss how analogue and digital information and communication technologies were present in the curricular proposals for Youth and Adult Education in the scenario of the pandemic in Brazil. The theoretical framework is anchored in Freire’s constructs - apprehension of reality, limit situations, action-reflection-action and construction of viable unpublished. From the multifaceted immersion and monitoring of initiatives carried out in schools, popular movements and universities, I identified four roles played by technologies: (i) establishing contact with students; (ii) create and/or strengthen collaboration networks between professors and students; (iii) promote pedagogical practices via emergency remote teaching; and (iv) implement the distance mode, made possible by the operational guidelines for Youth and Adult Education approved by the Bolsonaro government.

Keywords : youth and adult education; information and communication technologies; curriculum; Covid-19.
