GURGEL, Evanilson  e  MAKNAMARA, Marlécio. A curriculum that pours blood: apoptosis technology in the necrocurriculum of serial media narratives. Práxis Educativa [online]. 2023, vol.18, e21387.  Epub 03-Jul-2023. ISSN 1809-4309.  https://doi.org/10.5212/praxeduc.v.18.21387.035.

In this article, it is investigated the curriculum of serial media narratives, meaning it as a “necrocurriculum”, a pedagogical artifact whose regulatory action takes place around the qualification of ways of life and, consequently, the distribution of death warrants. The argument is that by articulating a policy of death in the face of markers of difference, this curriculum has created and articulated meanings that justify the possibility of purging what it considers unwanted through an “apoptosis technology” related to the programming practices of death. It is shown a stylized form of extermination of the black individual from this curriculum that, under the excuse of being dramatizing the experience of racism, ends up reiterating and additionally producing the own violence that it claims to be criticizing. It is concluded that this artifact has acted as an update of the “tortured body”, to teach that at any moment a black individual is vulnerable to violence and death.
