Abstract

This research investigated the academic-scientific production on school accountability policies in light of the concept of accountability. A “State of the knowledge” study inventoried the works deposited in the CAPES Periodical Portal, identifying 46 articles in peer-reviewed journals between 2010 and 2020. This is a qualitative study whose data were analyzed using Content Analysis. There has been progress in national research on accountability in large dimensions: evaluation, management, accountability policies and educational reform.
