The article analyzes the Teacher Training Adequacy Indicator of professionals working in the final years of elementary school and high school in Paraná, using the platform Mapping of Teacher Training in Paraná (Mapfor Paraná), based on school census data. A better understanding of teacher training is important to better direct formative actions. Data analysis showed that, despite a large portion of teachers in the state of Paraná having higher education degrees, not all of them have a degree in education and some of them teach subjects that do not correspond to their degree. In this condition, teachers from private schools and those with temporary contracts stand out.
