GASPAROTTO, Guilherme da Silva  y  NAVARRO, Rodrigo Tramutolo. Scientific production of the practice of Qigong in school context: a scope review. Rev. Diálogo Educ. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.72, pp.61-79.  Epub 19-Sep-2022. ISSN 1981-416X.  https://doi.org/10.7213/1981-416x.22.072.ds03.

Some traditional oriental practices already shown relevant evidence regarding the development of aspects related to well-being and health of different groups. However, the relationship between traditional oriental practices and educational aspects is not clear. Qigong is a traditional oriental body practice with positive effects on psychological, emotional, affective, physical factors, that can impact school development. Although some studies report the practice of Qigong in a school context, there is no systematization of the findings and on which aspects the practice can act. Therefore, the objective of this scope review is to demonstrate how the practice of Qigong is explored in the school context, how the interventions are presented and what are the main results related to educational aspects. Eric/Thesaurus, PubMed/Mediline, Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Virtual Health Library/VHL and ASP/Ebsco databases were selected. To identify the articles in the databases were listed the descriptors “Schools”; “Schools of Education”; “Education”; “Learning”; “Academic Achievement”; “Academic Education”; “Academic Performance”. These descriptors were identified in MeshTerms (Pubmed), Thesaurus (Eric) and in the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS - BVS). In addition to the descriptors, for the search related to the exposure factor, the words “Qigong”, “Chi Kung” or “Tai Chi” were used. The final sample consisted of eight studies that presented results from different protocols of interventions with Qigong on factors such as stress, attention, well-being, anguish, excessive computer use, depression, social behavior and grades performance of children and adolescents students.

Palabras clave : Body practices; Education; Schoolchildren; School performance.
