This text consists of a poetic account of the author's childhood and the letters exchanged with Paulo Freire in times of exile during the period of military dictatorship in Brazil. Throughout the text, fragments of the letters sent by cousin Paulo to the girl Nathercinha are presented. Paulo's letters were published in 2016 in the book A casa e o mundo lá fora: cartas de Paulo Freire para Nathercinha by Editora ZIT of Grupo Editorial ZIT. Written by Nathercia Lacerda with the participation of researchers Cristina Laclette Porto and Denise Sampaio Gusmão, Editorial Manager Laura Van Boekel and graphic artist Bruna Assis Brasil.
