In this essay, we aimed to describe and reflect about the development of sports recommendations about the participation of transgender athletes in Sports. We ask: how have such resolutions been developed, by whom and in what locations? We were able to infer that, even though the sports resolutions were elaborated by specialists in the theme and through scientific data, the theme “transgender in sport” is not innovative, needing further investigation in the empirical field and triggering only testosterone as the main anabolic hormone responsible for the differences between cisgender men and women, what is extended to the performance of transgender bodies in a still inconclusive way.
