Abstract

CARVALHO JUNIOR, Gabriel Dias de  and  PARRAT-DAYAN, Silvia. Historical outlines about the notion of schème in Piaget: the process of development of a concept. R. Bras. Est. Pedag. [online]. 2015, vol.96, n.244, pp.522-540. ISSN 2176-6681.  https://doi.org/10.1590/S2176-6681/361213543.

This paper presents the results of a research conducted in the "Jean Piaget Archives" about the way Piaget used the concept of scheme throughout his work. Thus, we investigated various stages of Piaget's production concerning the concept of scheme, presented in the book Biologie et connaissance, to make an analysis both retrospective as prospective based on the central hypothesis that, even if an underlying way, Piaget used elements linked to the concept of scheme in his explanations. Based on this study, it was possible to establish three main features for schemes that, even not being formally themed in all stages of Piaget's work, were present in the explanations of the subject situation. The research indicates didactic implications of the conception of scheme, including the indication of recent papers that use this concept for studying the process of construction of scientific concepts.

Keywords : scheme; subject in action; cognitive development.
