Abstract

EXTREMERA, Marta María Olmo  and  CAVALCANTE, Maria Mikaele Silva. Teaching cases: notes on a strategy for research and teacher training. Roteiro [online]. 2021, vol.46, e27340.  Epub July 08, 2021. ISSN 2177-6059.  https://doi.org/10.18593/r.v46.27340.

This article deals with a discussion of teaching a case characterized by being a written production oriented towards the problematization of a specific topic. It is also considered as a research procedure and a training strategy for teachers. The literature on case studies in the field of education is scarce, which justifies the lack of research and discussion on the subject. For this reason, a conceptual review (LACERDA, 2011; MUSSI, 2007; NONO; MIZUKAMI, 2006; ROESCH, 2007) and a specific and concrete teaching case are taken into account in this paper. It also presents an analysis and guidelines of didactic cases as a methodological and teacher training strategy, which seek to expand and disseminate this tool among educational researchers.

Keywords : teaching cases; research strategy; methodological possibility; teacher training..
