Abstract

CASTRO, ALESSANDRA DA SILVA  and  NOVAIS, VALÉRIA SILVA DE MORAES. The student assistance policy of Federal University of Amapá: recent perspectives. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2022, vol.38, n.1, e120538.  Epub Oct 02, 2023. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol38n002022.120538.

This paper comprehends that student residence is one of the results of the democratization of higher education and that assistance actions are essential for low-income students. Considering this, actions performed by the Federal University of Amapá (Unifap) were analyzed. The methodological path was ruled by a qualitative approach, by means of documental research. The research highlighted that a little more than 10% of the students receive some support, which indicates how UNIFAP ignores the assistance policy.
