The purpose of this article is to analyze how federal universities in the Northeast are implementing the National Student Assistance Program (PNAES) in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, a documentary research was carried out on the websites of the 18 federal universities in that region, obtaining 429 records, which underwent qualitative content analysis. The results reveal that universities have been implementing actions in the 10 axes of the PNAES during the pandemic, especially in the axes of health care and digital inclusion. The article reinforces the importance of PNAES in tackling the pandemic.
