Avaliação: Revista da Avaliação da Educação Superior is produced by RAIES, the Brazilian Network for Higher Education Institutional Evaluation, in partnership with the University of Sorocaba (Uniso). It is a journal open to diffusion, exchange and debate that are of interest to the academic community. Its priority is to publish papers that address themes related to "higher education" and "higher education evaluation", in Portuguese or Spanish. The journal had been published since 1996 by RAIES, under the subtitle "Revista de Rede de Avaliação da Educação Superior", and from 2007, in partnership with Uniso, the subtitle was altered to "Revista da Avaliação da Educação Superior".

The journal abbreviated title is Avaliação (Campinas; Sorocaba), which must be used in bibliographies, footnotes and references and strips.
