INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Guidelines for authors

The Revista e-Curriculum of the post-graduate education program Curriculum of PUC-SP [Pontifical Catholic University, São Paulo], is a scientific journal with a CAPES A2 Classification. It publishes original work (which has not been published in any other periodical, conference proceedings, web page or any other means of disseminating information), prepared by a maximum of four authors (one at least having a doctorate degree).

The term author is applied to anyone who has effectively taken part in the planning and development of the research and the interpretation of data, as well as the whole process of revising and being responsible for the acceptance of the final version of the article.

The Revista publishes scientific articles, reviews, essays, interviews, academic memorials and documents, depending on the requeriments of each call for papers, while ensuring that the focus is on Education, which is regarded as a subarea of the Curriculum.

The Revista e-Curriculum follows certain procedures to avoid conflicts of interest during the phases for assessing the manuscript submitted. The identities of the authors are protected by not allowing any signs (either explicit or implicit) of of the authorship to appear in the body of the text to appear in the text. It is recommended that “XXX” notation should be used to replace the name(s) of the author(s) and institution(s) to which they are affiliated. In the event of the article being accepted for publication, the editorial board will seek information about authorship in the metadata of the text.

Works are accepted if they are written in the target language of Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian and French. In the case of articles written in a language other than Portuguese, they must be accompanied by a title, abstract and keywords in Portuguese. The articles should have a title that clearly shows the focal point of the study.

In accordance with the Brazilian Copyright Law, (Law n.º 9.610, 19th February 1998), the opinions and ideas expressed in the works, the writing style, the accuracy, appropriateness and faithfulness of the sources of the bibliographical  quotations  are solely the responsibility of the author(s).

The Revista e-Curriculum reserves the right to only publish texts that wholly conform to the commonly accepted standards of the language in which it is written. For this reason, all the texts are submitted to a final review by professionals selected by the journal itself and the costs for this must be borne by the author(s). This final review does not forego the requirement that texts that are presented at the submission stage should be duly corrected by the author(s) – since a good standard of the written language is one of the preliminary criteria for its acceptance.

The publication of a work automatically implies ceding the author´s copyright rights to the Revista e-Curriculum, which means it can only subsequently be published in other means of communication with the authorization of the journal. It must also include a reference to the original publication in the periodical and state the volume, number and year.

Texts that have arisen from studies that have involved people must be accompanied by documentary evidence that the research has been approved by the Ethics Committee or Commission of the institution where the research was undertaken in compliance with Resolution n.º 510, (7/04/2016), of the National Council of Health and applicable to the Human and Social Sciences after the work has been accepted for publication.

Studies carried out with the support of institutions that encourage research and development, can include at the end an acknowledgment of the help provided by these institutions.

The Revista e-Curriculum reserves the right not to publish articles by the same author in intervals of less than 12 months.
