Education and Philosophy is published by the School of Education and the Institute of Philosophy of the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), in collaboration with their respective graduate programs. The journal seeks to promote scholarly research and academic debate on education and philosophy in their various dimensions, serving as a vehicle for the dissemination of knowledge, particularly within these two fields. It is currently indexed in 11 national and international databases and holds an A2 rating in the CAPES Qualis classification system.

Education and Philosophy accepts original submissions in the fields of Education and Philosophy from Brazilian and international authors who hold a doctoral degree or are currently enrolled in a doctoral program. Submissions may be considered for publication in the sections Articles, Dossiers, Book Reviews, and Interviews. Translations may occasionally be commissioned by or submitted for consideration to the Editorial Board.

Education and Philosophy will consider only one original manuscript at a time from each author or co-author, whether Brazilian or international, provided that they hold a doctoral degree or are currently enrolled in a doctoral program. Authors are encouraged to consult the journal’s plagiarism policy and author guidelines before submitting a manuscript.

Since 2017, Education and Philosophy has been published three times a year. The journal operates under a continuous submission system and accepts articles, translations, and book reviews throughout the year.
