INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Guidelines for authors

  1. Authors do not incur any costs to submit or publish their articles in the Obutchénie journal.
  2. Please note that all texts submitted to the journal are scrutinized for plagiarism.
  3. The Obutchénie journal accepts unpublished articles in its field of expertise, developmental didactics and educational psychology from a historical-cultural perspective. Articles must be in accordance with the defined publication themes (in the case of thematic issues) and be approved.
  4. Obutchénie accepts digitized works in Portuguese, Spanish, and English that respect the spelling standards in effect. All texts must be accompanied by a title, abstract, and keywords in the original language of the text and in English, Spanish, and Portuguese according to the style sheet of the magazine, which is available here.
  5. By submitting material for publication, the author(s) retain their copyright following the Creative Commons guidelines adopted by the journal (see the Copyright Statement section below). The author agrees to the Obutchénie Journal editorial guidelines and assumes that the text has been reviewed.
  6. Two members of the Scientific Committee (or ad hoc reviewers if the subject matter is outside the committee members' areas of expertise) will review the work and approve it or suggest changes. If one opinion is favorable and the other is unfavorable, the work will be sent to a third member of the Scientific Committee or an ad hoc reviewer. Evaluation form template.
  7. After review, the papers will be returned to the authors, along with copies of the reviews. Papers requiring changes will be sent back to the authors, who must make the suggested modifications and send the corrected texts back to the journal within thirty days.
  8. A second (or third) round of evaluation will be conducted for all papers for which the reviewers have requested revisions.
  9. Only one article per author or co-author will be published in each issue of the journal.
  10. To avoid endogeny, the journal will not accept more than 20% of the papers in each issue from authors affiliated with the Federal University of Uberlândia. If this threshold is reached, the papers considered will be the first ones received.
  11. Texts submitted to the journal must be typed using the "Obutchénie Journal Template" and adhere to the following guidelines.
  12. After the original texts are approved for publication, the author must send the full version in English for bilingual publication. Include the translator's name and email address in a footnote of the English version. For originals written in English, send the full version of the text in Portuguese.
  13. At the time of submission, if the research involves human subjects, authors must enter the substantiated approval opinion issued by the Ethics Committee to which the research was submitted into the journal's evaluation system.
  14. The journal is not responsible for conflicts of interest between authors, funders, sponsors, and others involved in or cited in the texts.
  15. All articles in this journal are the sole responsibility of their authors. Neither the journal nor EDUFU shall be held legally responsible for their content.
  16. Authors must indicate their institutional affiliation in a footnote according to the journal's template.
